2.2.1 Credit Card Authorization
You may be asked to provide NewspaperARCHIVE.com with a credit card number from
a card issuer that we accept in order to activate your Service. NewspaperARCHIVE.com
may seek authorization of your credit card account prior to your first purchase
to validate that you can charge the applicable fees to access the Service. This
authorization amount is typically the equivalent of one US dollar ($1USD). It is
not a charge but may appear to reduce your available balance by the authorization
amount until your cards next billing cycle. Please contact your card issuer if you
have additional questions regarding when this amount will be removed from your statement.
2.3 Subscription Plans
2.3.1 Recurring Subscription Plans
If you decide to terminate your Recurring Paid Subscription ("Recurring Subscription")

as a responsible adult user and/or subscriber, that it is your sole responsibility
to terminate your Recurring Subscription prior to 72 hours before the scheduled
renewal of your Recurring Subscription. If you do not terminate your Recurring Subscription
prior to 72 hours before the scheduled renewal of your Recurring Subscription, your
Recurring Subscription will be automatically renewed. Failure to terminate your
Recurring Subscription prior to 72 hours before the scheduled renewal of your Recurring
Subscription signifies to us that you agree and warrant us to continue to consider
you as an active paying Subscriber. If you terminate your Recurring Subscription
within the 72 hour period before the scheduled renewal of your Recurring Subscription,
you will be charged for the applicable Service(s) and you will not be refunded for
your Recurring Subscription in part or in full. ALL CHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
At the time of your renewal, your designated payment method will be billed our then-current
fees for the applicable Recurring Subscription. NewspaperArchive.com and/or its
subsidiaries reserve the right to modify, change and/or discontinue any and/or all
Subscription levels on Service(s), Content and/or Material at any time without notification.
By subscribing to any or all Service(s), you agree that you are solely responsible
for your Recurring Subscription account and you understand and agree with all of
the terms and conditions within this Agreement.
2.3.2 Free Trials
NewspaperARCHIVE.com will occasionally provide free trial membership offers. This
section in no way guarantees that a free trial offer will be available at any given
time. Free trials are only available to first time customers of the NewspaperARCHIVE.com
service and cannot be combined with any other offer. Only one free trial may be
redeemed per household. You must have Internet access and a valid credit card or
debit card ("Payment Method") to redeem a free trial offer. Upon registering for
your free trial, your Payment Method will be collected; however, no charges will
be made against the Payment Method except for a Credit Card Authorization hold (see
Section 2.2.1) unless you do not cancel prior to the end of your trial membership
period.
We will begin billing your Payment Method for monthly subscription fees corresponding
to your subscription plan plus any applicable tax at the end of your free trial
membership period unless you cancel prior to the end of your free trial. To view
the specific details of your subscription plan, including price and end date of
your free trial period, please refer to the receipt emailed to the provided email
address following the subscription process. You will not receive a notice from us
that your free trial membership has ended or that your paid membership has begun.
YOU MUST CANCEL PRIOR TO THE END OF YOUR FREE TRIAL TO AVOID CHARGES TO YOUR PAYMENT
METHOD. REFER TO YOUR SUBSCRIPTION RECIEPT FOR CANCELLATION INSTRUCTIONS. We will
continue to bill your Payment Method on a monthly basis for your membership plan
until you cancel. You may cancel your membership at anytime. We reserve the right
to modify, terminate or otherwise amend our offered membership plans. Unless otherwise
stated differently, month or monthly refers to your billing cycle.
2.3.2.1 Trial Membership Period
The Trial Membership Period is the length of time that a user, who has successfully
subscribed to a free membership plan, will have to use the membership to NewspaperARCHIVE.com
before the account is charged. The trial membership period will be stated during
the sign up process, as the title of the offer (Seven-day free trial, etc.). This
information will also be sent to you in your receipt. It is your responsibility
to cancel prior to the end of the trial membership period if you wish to avoid a
charge for your continued subscription.
2.4 Your Subscription Billing Date
Your designated method of payment will automatically be billed for the renewal term
of Service(s) you have chosen through your Subscription. Your billing date is available
through "My Account". In the event your membership began on a day not contained
in a given month, we will bill your Payment Method on the last day of such month.
2.5 Cancellation
You may cancel your membership to NewspaperARCHIVE.com at anytime, and cancellation
will be effective immediately. WE DO NOT PROVIDE REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR ANY PARTIAL-MONTH
OR ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP PERIODS.
Some Subscription levels of the Service(s) distributed by NewspaperArchive.com and/or
its subsidiaries may be based on your commitment to subscribe for a minimum amount
of time, e.g. three months or twelve months. Such minimum commitment is based upon
your Subscription billing date, and may or may not fall at the beginning or the
end of a particular calendar month. In the event of early termination, you agree,
as a responsible adult user and/or subscriber, that NewspaperArchive.com and/or
its subsidiaries may incur costs associated in the value of said Subscription agreement
in whole. Therefore, in the event of early termination for any reason, including
but not limited to, credit card expiration, credit card decline, non-sufficient
funds, voluntary and/or by us, you agree and accept sole responsibility for any
charges that may incur under this Agreement. To cease the automatic billing on your
account, you understand that you must properly cancel the account by following the
instructions provided below. ALL CHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
If you wish to cancel, please follow one of these cancellation options:
1. Please call us at 1-888-845-2887.
2. Email us at customerservice@newspaperarchive.com
You will receive a confirmation e-mail after your request has been received and
processed. NewspaperArchive.com and/or its subsidiaries does not refund an account
for unused time. Please be aware that any recurring charges made prior to your cancellation
will not be refunded. In addition, any stated term of your subscription will continue
to be in effect regardless of your cancellation request until the end-date of said
subscription term. Your credit card will be billed if your cancellation request
is not received prior to your accounts renewal date or before the end of a Free
Trial Period.
As a responsible adult user and/or subscriber, you agree and understand that it
is your sole responsibility to follow the cancellation procedures listed in this
section. You, as a responsible adult user and/or subscriber agree to and take full
responsibility for any and all charges incurred under your Subscription.
2.6 Subscription Upgrades
At any time during your active Subscription, unless you currently subscribe to the
most long-term subscription plan available, you may choose to upgrade your subscription
level to a more cost-efficient, long-term option. You are able to upgrade your subscription
by going to "My Account" and select the "Change Membership"
option, or contact Customer Service directly. In some cases, you may be required
to contact Customer Service to make some changes to you Service(s). Occasionally,
NewspaperArchive.com and/or its subsidiaries may implement a special upgrade promotion
that may require you to contact Customer Service. You understand that upon receiving
one or more of these special offers, it is your sole responsibility to contact Customer
Service to take advantage of these offers.
If you make changes to your Subscription(s), your new upgrade package will not take
effect until the end of your current subscription term.
